The Neversink Union Mission was located at 728 Bingaman Street, Reading, PA. This view dates from 1905. Little is known of this short-lived organization. The children’s attire is somewhat surprising in that their clothing is not what one would expect to see youngsters wearing who attend a mission operation. The sign beside the entrance informs passers-by that Sunday services are at 10 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. Sunday School is at 2 p.m. Bible Holiness meetings are held every Friday evening. In the 1930’s, Anna Toth had a grocery store here. In 1950, this was St. John’s Baptist Church. The building was demolished in September, 2009.
