Conrad Weiser Homestead

The Conrad Weiser Homestead is a Pennsylvania state historic site located in Womelsdorf, Berks County, Pennsylvania which interprets the life of Conrad Weiser. Weiser was an 18th century German immigrant who served as an Indian interpreter and who helped coordinate Pennsylvania's Indian policy. He played a major role in the history of colonial Pennsylvania. The Conrad Weiser Homestead is located on Rt. 422, within easy driving distance of Philadelphia, Lancaster, Hershey and Harrisburg.

Dutch Wonderland

Greater Reading Expo Center

One of the Largest Regional Exhibition Centers on the East Coast, the Greater Reading Expo Center offers 250,000 square feet of exhibition space on one floor. Located in beautiful Berks County, the Expo Center provides access to more than 500,000 people, including neighboring Lehigh, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties. Hawk Mountain Sanctuary

Located in east-central Pennsylvania, Hawk Mountain is the world's first refuge for birds of prey. Mast Farms' Corn Maze

We are third generation Lancaster County potato growers. While we are very proud of our potato heritage, we grow lots of other things here at Mast Farms. There is corn, soybeans, wheat, strawberries and pumpkins. Our most exciting product is fun. The Mast Farms Corn Maze is our feature attraction. The over two-mile long Penn Corridor includes Penn Street from City Park in Reading through the downtown area and across the Penn Street Bridge to Penn Avenue, extending through West Reading and Wyomissing. Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine

In May 1963, Pioneer Tunnel, which ceased operation in 1931, was retimbered and reopened as a place where visitors could experience a real anthracite coal mine. The Tunnel affords visitors an opportunity to learn how anthracite coal is mined. Part of the Tunnel is timbered and part lies in solid rock and requires no timbering. Guides are experienced miners who know mining thoroughly. Visitors ride into the Tunnel on mine cars rebuilt to carry passengers; the motive power is provided by an electric mine motor.

Sands Casino Resort

The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem is within easy driving distance from New York (only 82 miles and a fast 90 minutes), Philadelphia (50 miles and 60 minutes), and everywhere in between - closer than Atlantic City from both locations! The Sands offers 3,300 parking spaces in our self-park garage, and an additional 1,400 parking spaces on our surface lot. Valet parking is also available. Must be 21 years of age or older to enter the Sands. Government issued ID required.

WK&S Railroad

Established in 1963, the WK&S is located in the scenic village of Kempton, Pennsylvania which is in Berks County. We are also known as the "Hawk Mountain Line" because of our proximity to the famous bird sanctuary. Our quiet, rural setting adds to the quaint old-time atmosphere that appeals to families and children of all ages. Join us weekends from May through the second weekend in November for a ride back in time when railroads were "king." The WK&S offers special events throughout the season including the popular December season finale Santa Claus Special. The WK&S holds educational school trips on two Fridays in May. So if you are a teacher or school administrator please contact us for more information. There is something for everyone to enjoy. We have a very unique range of vintage locomotives to supply power, and a variety of rolling stock. See our Equipment page for more details. The station facilities include a large free parking area, a gift shop with many railroad-related items, refreshment stand, waiting room, restrooms, and a large picnic area. Large grassy areas provide for the kids to run. On Sundays, the Schuykill & Lehigh Model Railroad Club's HO model train display is also open to the public.
